Each application to school must have a completed application form along with proof of address and copy of baptism certificate (if applicable).

Nursery Class

Admissions to the Nursery Class at St Ann’s School will be on either a part time or full time basis; 15 hours each week in the mornings or afternoons (part time) or 30 hours per week (full time) subject to being eligible for the 30 hours funding.  There is an additional charge incurred for full time places to cover our lung time period which further information is provided on acceptance of a full time place. Admission for Nursery is for those children who will have attained their 3rd birthday on or before 31st August 2024.

The closing date for Nursery applications is the 31st January to be considered for a place in the September intake for that year. 

Admission to the Nursery Class does not secure admission to the Primary School, for which a separate application must be made.

We can currently offer a January intake for children born before 31st December 2020.



Reception Class

All applications for reception class places must be made through Trafford. The application form can be found on the Trafford Council website under primary school admissions.

In year places and nursery places can be allocated through the school. Please telephone the school to see if we have any places and we can advise you if there are places or not.  If you have any queries, please contact the school office.

Appellants will receive:


At least 14 calendar days’ notice of their appeal hearing


Decision letters within 7 calendar days of the hearing wherever possible OR where multiple days are required within 7 calendar days of the last hearing wherever possible.




As applications for in-year admissions are a separate process please note this category of appeal will be heard within 30 school days of receipt of the appeal form.
